Sandtart Cookies from the Country Cupboard in Lewisburg
3 cups Granulated Sugar
1 1/2 cups or 12 oz. Butter
2/3 cup eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
4 1/2 cups pastry flour


Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour and mix until well blended. Scrape them mix 1 minute longer.

Roll dough flat and thin. Use cookie cutter for shapes you want.

Bake at 350 degrees, approximately 5-7 minutes or until edge starts to brown.

Yields: Approx. 24 dozen.
