That's So 570: Your favorite summer bazaars, festivals and picnics

From festivals to picnics, there are many special summer attractions that are unique to our area. Here are some of your popular picks in this That’s So 570 segment.

NOXEN, Pa. — From festivals to picnics, there are many special summer attractions that are unique to our area.

Newswatch 16’s Ryan Leckey scoped out some of your popular picks in Tuesday's edition of “That’s So 570.”

Also, one event that’s so 570 and that has been around since 1973 is coming back this year.

Noxen Volunteer Fire Company’s annual Rattlesnake Roundup returns June 17, starting at 6 p.m.

It runs through Sunday, June 20, near the fire company in the Noxen area of Wyoming County.

The four-day event benefits the Noxen Volunteer Fire Company.

Money raised helps the fire department purchase lifesaving gear.

The rattlesnake round-up involves a lot more than just snakes. There's food, games, live music, activities for families, educational talks, and more!

We want to stress, the rattlesnakes are never harmed during this event.

Hunters licensed by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission catch, measure, and mark the snakes so that they can be returned safely to the location in which they were originally found.

For details on the specifics, check out the Noxen Volunteer Fire Company Rattlesnake Roundup Facebook page.
