WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — The flood gates were removed from the market street bridge connecting Wilkes-Barre and Kingston.

On Christmas Day, crews shut down the bridge when heavy rain and melting snow caused the Susquehanna River to rise.

After being closed for more than a week, the Market Street Bridge is expected to be back open Monday night.
